WordPress integration

Create invoices from WordPress data

Your WordPress site already holds bookings, form entries, memberships and custom post types. Business Hub reads that data through the WordPress REST API and turns any record into a branded invoice, so you never copy details from wp-admin into an invoice by hand.

How it works

From a WordPress record to an invoice

Pick the WordPress endpoint

Choose the REST API address that returns the record you invoice, such as a custom post type, or an endpoint a booking or forms plugin provides.

Connect and map the fields

Add it as a REST API data source, load a sample record and map its fields to the customer, line items, amounts and notes.

Invoice by ID

Enter the post, booking or entry ID and the WordPress data becomes a finished invoice with your branding.

What you get

Why invoice WordPress data with Business Hub

🧩

Works with your plugins

Any plugin that exposes its data in the WordPress REST API, such as a bookings, events or forms plugin, can feed invoices.

🚫

Nothing to install

There is no WordPress plugin to install or update. The connection uses the REST API WordPress already has.

🔐

Application Password access

Private endpoints are read with a WordPress Application Password that you can revoke at any time.

🧭

Map nested fields

Pick fields anywhere in the JSON, and set a response path when the record sits inside a larger response.

🧾

Branded PDF invoices

Invoices carry your logo, numbering, tax details and bank details, ready to download or send by email and WhatsApp.

♻️

Reusable Invoice Flows

Save the source, mapping and template once and invoice each new record with just its ID.

How to connect WordPress to Business Hub

WordPress connects through the REST API connector. Running a WooCommerce shop? Use the dedicated WooCommerce integration instead.

  1. Find the REST API addressWordPress serves its REST API under /wp-json/. A post type is usually at https://yoursite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/{type}/{id}; plugins that offer REST endpoints document their own addresses.
  2. Create an Application Password (if needed)Public endpoints need no key. For private data go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords in WordPress and create one for a user who can read that data.
  3. Add a REST API data sourceIn Business Hub open Data Sources → Add Data Source and choose REST API. Enter the exact https address (redirects are not followed) with {identifier} where the ID goes, for example https://yoursite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/bookings/{identifier}.
  4. Add the credentialsFor an Application Password use the Authorization header with the Basic scheme, and as the key the Base64 of username:application-password.
  5. Test and mapTest the connection, then open Mapping Rules, fetch the fields from a sample record and map them, including custom fields your plugin exposes in the REST API.
  6. Generate the invoiceGo to Create Invoice → From Data Source, choose the WordPress source and enter a record ID. Save it as an Invoice Flow to reuse it.

How do I connect private WordPress data?

Create an Application Password in WordPress and send it with the Basic scheme in the Authorization header of the REST API data source.

I sell with WooCommerce. Which integration should I use?
